A good mix of straightforward and challenging programming exercises, very knowledgeable and responsive instructors, valuable information on Scinet HPC resources and how to efficiently use them.
I highly recommend taking this HPC summer school as it shares with you the secrets of successful parallel programming on distributed and shared memory systems.

Thanks to the instructors and the staff, who are very nice to help. And the courses are very helpful, especially for beginners who want to learn more about programming. I will definitely participate in the next year.

I really appreciated the event and the efforts to make it good. I would suggest however in some cases to do a bit less and push to make more as possible understood and if possible 2 people helping the teacher on software problems. Maybe it would be also nice to open a link for the participants to share their experience and knowledge with these topics.

Wonderful event. Great introduction to many tools, with thorough explanations and examples. All the instructors were very knowledgeable, helpful and approachable! Definitely interested in attending the event next year, in the other stream.

Really enjoy these courses and the instructors do a great job. One suggestion: more sessions and more variety. This summer and last, the Toronto summer school covered exactly the same topics. I know these topics are all important but it would be nice to maybe see even more concurrent sessions going on to choose from. I realize instructors are probably limited but perhaps Scinet users would like to volunteer to lead a discussion of some more specific topics, maybe even more of a discussion group than a lecture. Would be a nice way to provide something new for people who've already attended previously.
