Would be better if more focus is placed on C instead of Fortran in the parallel programming sessions. Would be nice to have more hands on time. The 1 day of CUDA programming was a bit too rushed.

All of the sessions were excellent and I left with a great deal of information on each topic. Having the material online and easily accessible made everything run very smooth and was easy to catch up on for those who missed a portion of the session. I would suggest that the sessions be broken up into smaller time segments. It is hard to focus for so long at once. Also, the example of computing the sum of a large number of square roots was excellent for demonstrating each type of parallelism (I would suggest this be included in the CUDA session as well). If one or two more examples could be included that can be demonstrated in each session, that would help a great deal with understanding (perhaps matrix multiplication?).

I really enjoyed the OpenMP, HPC in R and the CUDA sessions. The way the HPC in R session was run was the best. Having a Github website showing the steps and code pieces with tasks for us to do was great! It would be nice if the other sessions use a similar approach. But all in all, it was a great introduction to the various topics/technologies/tools.

All the sessions that I attended are excellent, they are interesting and useful, the way in which the knowledge is presented is also excellent, my only suggestion, however, is that we can schedule a longer period so that the students can attend all the sessions without missing any of them due to the overlapping sessions.

If the presenters can include some case studies from their research areas, as demonstration of the parallel programming.

I attended Python programming training. It was very well prepared. Especially useful was pipeline coding with snakemake. The only negative comment would be that the text on the screen was hard to discern when sitting at the back of the auditorium. The letters could have been bigger. Information that I learned was very useful, well instructed, I am glad that I was able to attend.
